<p>I was placed into a Thayer double, and I wasn’t really expecting a double (I requested a triple and was hoping for a triple or quad). </p>
<p>So, what does everyone think of Thayer and of living in a double? I am just a little worried that living in a double will make it a little harder for me socially in terms of meeting people.</p>
<p>Our kid requested a quad, and instead got a double in Thayer – and loved it. It was easy to meet people on the floor (and elsewhere in Thayer), and very close for classes. Great experience!</p>
<p>I am in a double in Thayer right now, and it is great. Thayer is in the perfect place in the Yard. The 'berg is right there, and all my classes are close.</p>
<p>You have a bedroom with a bunk and a living room. They are hot right now in the summer but you should be fine in the fall through spring. </p>
<p>You can easily meet people on your floor, the communal bathrooms are never full (you will always be able to take a shower).</p>
<p>It seems like quads are only on the end, so there aren’t that many (I think floor 2 has quads and floor three has triples and bathrooms on the end, not sure about upper floors).</p>
<p>I wouldn’t be worried, you will probably have a cool roommate, and you will definitely meet all the people on your floor.</p>
<p>Thayer is definitely one of the more social freshman dorms - last year, Thayer kids had a reputation for building tight-knit friendships. Also, you’re conveniently located to Aberg and the Science Center …</p>
