This popped up on Medium today - it was published originally some years ago and has been republished since. A search using the title with the author Chadwick Matlin will lead you to it. It describes one student’s efforts to pay off a debt burden of that magnitude in six years, combining frugality, hard work, dedication (both by the graduate and his family) and good luck and support along the way. For anybody who is thinking of assuming this level of debt, it’s a best-case-scenario cautionary tale and might be useful for anybody weighing cost vs. perceived fit vs. prestige.
An excellent read. Thank you!
