The 2010 Calculus BC Study Thread

@crib, let’s just hope they won’t show up on this year’s exam then lol

Can someone please tell me whether you need to make substituiton for ilimits of ntergation or not?

They do it for volume problems, but sometimes they don’t do it.

^
I don’t think it’s necessary, but if you want to do it then you can?
I’m not sure either. :/

If they don’t give you units, then you don’t have to write any down (you don’t have to write the word “units” or “units squared”).

good luck everyone! make sure you don’t cram too much or you’ll get really stressed out when test actually comes.

and sleep early b/c you need energy;
coffee is also great for mental stimulus :)

@Esplin: The curves intersect at θ=2π/3 and θ=4π/3. These are your limits. They split the area into two parts: the part of the region defined by the circle, and the part of the region defined by the lima

i am scared off my pants (is this even a phrase lmao) for the frq this year.
and if i absolutely fail the m/c on the ap test, i’m gonna say it’s because i got bored. solving 28 consecutive noncalculator math problems makes people sleepy. I have really poor concentration hence I’m on here instead of studying

oh yes, and good luck everyone!

^ That’s an excellent reason. xD

Well I’m going to sleep now to avoid that.
Good luck everyone!

I am going to sleep at 9 tonight and wake up at 6:00am lol

Will they mark us off if we put more than 3 decimal places?

Does anybody else wish they took AB right about now? hahaha

No, but there is no point in doing so as they only consider the first three when grading.

i totally wish i was taking ab right now the curve is 10 times better and i don’t get taylor series at all. ■■■
anybody cramming like crazy? as in staying up until 3 am?

anybody understand anything about lagragne error??? i’m lost!!

come on, we get a AB subscore anyways. what’s with all the people wanting to revert back to AB >.>

The grading curve is very close between the two classes, this site will let you play around with your test scores to see what you’ll get: [AP Pass - AP Calculus Calculator](http://appass.com/calculators/calculus)

thanks for the link to the calculator! it’s calming me down a bit for calc AND art history… =)

glad it could be of help! tell your friends too!

how do i do derivatives and integrals on the calculator?
What else other equations can be used on the calc?

they’ll be in the ‘math’ menu. look for fnInt() and nDeriv() at the bottom.
Type it like
fnInt(x^2,x,1,3)
which is an integral of x squared in relation to x from 1 to 3

type derivatives like
nDeriv(x^2,x,2)
which is the derivative of x squared in relation to x where x is 2

you can do anything on your calculator as long as you have the equation written on your paper to get credit for the work, but using max/min wont earn you any credit

I am angry at APUSH because I am not doing well in the practices.
