The 2010 Calculus BC Study Thread

Hello,

So my ARCO/Peterson’s book claims there’s a calc program for this on
[Calculus-Help.com: Survive calculus class! - Calculus-Help.com](http://www.calculus-help.com/)
but I can’t find it.

Help? Or suggest another one that’s better. I’m too lazy to type it in/I don’t know where half the functions are.

if i get everything right and totally fail anything to do with series, can i still get a 5?

the only problem with that is series is the biggest topic for BC. So there Is gonna be at least free response on it and at least 4-5 MC on it. So technically you could ace it but its suggested that you learn it so you have a better chance of getting a 5.

Anyway, good luck to everyone. I have to take the test in 2 hours…and then APUSH cram…woo!

lol goodluck everyone. Heading to school to take it now :o

Does anyone know how they calculate AB subscore and BC scores on the BC exam?

What if I bombed one BC FRQ yet the total on the AP calculator comes out to be a 5, will I have a 4 or so for the BC score?

guys exam is in like 1hr and a hlaf lol gl

so, the exam multiple choice was pretty easy. the last frq i couldn’t answer anything!!!

I think that the BC score is the overall score, and the AB score is the score for the 60% of AB material.

As for FRQ6, I’ll just say that it’s doable.

Yeah…the last FRQ is retardedly hard >_< I think I got it though. Took me a while to figure out the -1 was separate…
And I just realized I’m ■■■■■■■■, I did 3x*x and got 4x lol
Realized it RIGHT after we handed in the exam.

the MC was alright, the graphing MC part was EASY though. Finished with 25min left~ lol

I thought the last 2-3 on the no-calculator MC were hard, especially the series one.

But the FRQs were all super easy

I got all of them (MCQs + FRQs), though the last FRQ was definitely a challenge.

I hope the grader can read my writing though…it got really cramped for #6 especially.

What is usually a 5 for BC out of 108?

Barron’s says it’s around 70

I know it’s really stupid to ask…But does anyone know what will they do if I forgot to put dx in an integral expression?

-1 for each dx missing

I feel like I’m the only person who thought the calculator active was super hard and the non-calculator was amazingggg. haha

^No I thought that too. Well, not suuuuuper hard. But hard.

Curve predictions?? Easier or harder than usual?

Ahh. And here I thought I was the only person that wouldn’t be able to do #6 in the FRQ. :)

The rest was alright, though.

You usually need 65/66 out of 108 to get a 5.

I left number 6 of FRQ almost completely blank.
