My second semester senior year schedule options essentially came down to choosing whether or not to stay in Jazz Band or take a college-level Philosophy class. I opted for the philosophy class, which I’m genuinely excited to take, and which I feel like was too good of an opportunity for me to pass up.

… Should I be worried about this, from a college admissions standpoint? Is losing a class-based EC like Jazz Band too big of a risk, even when being supplemented with Philosophy? I think I’ll have more fun in the philosophy class and the decision has been made. I made the decision because I’ve always wanted to take philosophy and this was my chance… I’m just mighty curious about how colleges might see things. Boring second-semester-senior-year-drama, I know, I know.

– Still playing and enjoying my instrument via private lessons, FWIW
– Rest of the schedule is Physics, APUSH, AP STATS, college level Pre-Calc, Spanish 4
