They seem to have made an effort to make several of the teams very unlikeable. If anything, Rachel and her sister were more annoying than Rachel and Brendan were! The first episode with so many teams is always kind of a blur. I, too, am happy to see Becca & Floyd and Tyler & Korey back.
While editing on any of these shows can impact the viewers’ perceptions of the participants, I don’t think you can blame the show for making Rachel and/or Elissa unlikable. 
@skieurope I agree that Rachel and her sister are incredibly annoying, with or without editing. I was more thinking of a couple of the teams that I didn’t remember or know, e.g, the two women from Survivor and the two women from Big Brother.
Janelle and Britney from BB and Corinne and Eliza from Survivor. TBH (and I’m a Survivor junkie) I had to go back to remember who they were. I guess they were not memorable on their seasons.
My kids and I are totally rooting for Becca and Floyd. We’ve actually met and briefly chatted with both of them! Floyd was on a student panel at CU-Boulder when we went to a summer student day and we got to talk to him a little at the end. Becca was much more random–we were rock climbing in a popular area up here when I called out for my daughter (also named Rebecca) and both my daughter and Becca responded–she was guiding a rock-climbing group, and even had a fun-meter pin on!

Rupert looks like he could do with a neuro work up. That poor woman.
I am so glad the show is back. I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed watching. I rewatched this week’s episode with my oldest son. He actually remembered the team from Season 5. Love Team Fun and Cory and Tyler. Rachel not so much.
Since we don’t watch Big Brother or Survivor, we chuckled at all the smack talking from teams from those shows. Let’s see how those teams fare in the long run.
Sad to see a TAR team out on the first leg but they did not look like they were up for the challenge. If they had not lost this leg they surely would’ve been out on the next.
I want to know what the heck Rachel and her sister are wearing…I hope there are shorts under that dress!!
I also was glad to see Tyler and Corey and Becca and Floyd. Also the BB team of Nicole and Victor…liked them a lot on their BB stints. I have watched most seasons of AR and several of Survivor and BB - but several couples I have no recollection of.
Agree that the first night flew by - a lot of time is taken up with the introduction of the episode/teams.
Last night’s episode really reminded me why I love the show, why I love Tyler & Corey and Becca & Floyd. Loved this episode!
Loved watching the contestants ride the elephants in the river. So beautiful!
Not surprised with the elimination of Rupert and Laura last night. They would not have even been on that leg had the border patrol guys not taken the penalty on the first leg.
Still annoyed with the trash talking BB team and Rachel and her sister–especially with their U turn choice.
That is a great result (elimination) but now I feel bad for the elephants. Seems that TAR has BTDT enough times to know that these things are exploitative.
I like the brothers who have now won twice a good bit but they can be TOO MUCH. They are so intense!!! I thought it a little poor sportsmanship to try and throw off a newbie (Nicole) at the pitstop to gain an advantage. Then they got to the pitstop and didn’t seem too thrilled with $2500/each!
Glad that the two who were u-turned made it through. They are probably my favs along with Nicole and Victor (who I liked on BB) - but they are going to have to learn to be a little more aggressive !!!
YES! Now take that next team that’s driving me nuts and all will be well. I thought the episode was fun. I loved(!) the “irritation” challenge. I think it looked fun and unusual.
I would’ve been happy if either one of the last 2 teams to the mat were eliminated.
I would have been ecstatic if this were double elimination leg. Ah well, I doubt the second-to-last team will be around much longer. .
This is a very petty comment but I can’t stand the botoxed lips on one of the sisters on the last place team. I’m wondering if she’ll watch herself on TV and realize how “stiff” she looked.

Not sure if the eliminated team was really that annoying or just got a supremely bad edit to look even more annoying. Was not sorry to see them go.
I liked th episode. Seemed like a very lopsided roadblock, as the sisters got there second and almost lost due to how much longer it took.
Getting caught up on episodes. My DS and I were more than happy to see Corinne and Eliza go. They have got to be one of the worst sports in TAR history. I am not fans of the Reilly sisters by any stretch of the imagination but they way the eliminated team responded to their loss and the sisters’ comments at the mat is beyond words. Did they not know that the cameras were still rolling?
We were hopeful that the Reilly sisters would be out next and felt let down by Phil when the next leg was nonelimination. They should have been out on the following leg but Janelle made a huge mistake and live to see another leg. How much more must we endure!
