The AnBryce Scholarship

I’m just a Junior but I already have a clear sense of what my stats would be like when I apply for colleges.

GPA: 4.27 (w) and 3.82 (uw) even though my school only sends out weighted GPAs. I will say that I’m dancing on the edge with one of my classes right now, so my stats might be 4.3 (w) and 3.86 (uw) but I think it would be unlikely.

SAT (already took): 2260 (Maybe I’ll take it again)

AP:
Sophomore year: Art History (4), Euro (5)
Junior year: APUSH
Senior Year (I will take…): Government, Calc AB, Psychology

IB:
Junior Year: Econ (SL), Math Studies (SL), Physics (SL), Bio (HL), English (HL)
Senior Year: (I will continue with…) Physics, English, and Bio.

My extracurricular activities are ok. I’m involved with some clubs but I’m not a significant figure in any of them. I volunteer for the Red Cross and I’m committed to helping the homeless every week. I’m also doing a poetry program with the Folger’s Library.

To be honest, I’m not all that stressed about getting accepted in NYU. However, I’m concerned with the financial aid and scholarships. I’m just wondering, with my basic stats, would I be a competitive candidate for the AnBryce Scholarship? I’m going to be a first generation college student and my family shows a lot of need. My dad makes under $35000 a year, my mom doesn’t work, and I have a younger sister. I tried balancing out the number of IB and AP classes, because I thought that would look nice, but I’m not sure. I go to a really competitive public high school in a suburban county outside of Washington D.C. From what I’ve learned, I think Newsweek ranked my school #63 nationally and 3rd in the state of Virginia.

Thank you for the help.
