<p>i just received my semester grade…and I got a D in Calculus AB.
I am DYING to be accepted to UCI, but other UCs I am now afraid for because of this B.
I have a 3.73 avg gpa, 1880 sat, 27 act, and other extracurriculars and jobs that I have included in my app.
I honestly don’t know what to do. Should I drop the class for 2nd semester, or should I keep it and try to prove myself and to the UCs by getting a c or higher? The second choice seems risky, but I am planning to hire a tutor if I have to, if it’s what it takes. But which one seems more logical, in your opinion? Please help :(</p>
<p>If you can afford to hire a tutor and have the time to focus on the class, I would keep it.</p>
