The Average Student Chances

<p>Ok so im not like some other people who post and have AP everythng and still want to know there chances lol. Im an average student and im NOT trying to get into an Ivy League or Top school, just a good school with good people and a very nice party scene. lol </p>

<p>Class of 2010!!! =) It came to soon!!!
Ok so my high school is pretty huge and really diverse but I live in the suburbs like area (Pennsylvania). There are 695 people in my class alone and I rank 274 (top 40%). Im African-American. My parents both went to community college. And my overall GPA is 3.1979.
When I Graduate I will have: [<em>= im takeing my senior year]
4 Credits in English (English 9,10,11,12</em>)
4 Credits in History/Gov & Economics (Hon. Western Civic, U.S. History 10, U.S History 11, Goverment & Economics<em>)
4 Credits in Science (Intro to Chem & Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics</em>)
5 Credits in Math(Algebra I, Geometry, Albgebra II, PreCalculus, Calculus*)
3 Credits in Spanish (Spanish 2,3,4)
I plan on doing dual enrollement (2 classes) at my local community college to make up for my lack of challengning classes.

Writing: 370 (I Know its Low)</p>

<p>I havent taken anything special only academic/ college prep(only 1 class in my freshman year). In my junior year I joined Teen Summit (minority leadership group). I joined the NAACP. I need 60 hours of community service to graduate but I plan on doing 160 hours by december. I was asked to join The National Society Of High School Scholars. I tutored at Lehigh University. </p>

<p>And i think thats it. So I want to apply to Howard Univerisity, HamptonUniversity, Penn State Univeristy (Main Campus), Nevada State University (Las Vegas), Pace University, U Conn, University of Maryland, West Virginia Univeristy, Florida A&M, Clark Atlanta University, Temple University, University of Pittsburg, Long Island University (Brooklyn Campus), & University of New Haven. I know that’s alot of the schools but I need alot of safteys!!! So let me know what u think =)</p>

<p>What do you want to study? What atmosphere/culture/size/location do you prefer? What about sports, greek life, general student life? Is finance a factor? If so, how big? Have you sorted your options into reach, match and safety yet?
Btw, your stats are not shabby at all if you can pull your SATs up to the 1800s or ACT to 26-28. You should have a decent shot at a lot of them.</p>
