@ deadbent: post any queries you have
I suggest you better buckle up …as the cliche goes… admission seasons are a bumpy ride :)

eugh my heads fillled w. questions!! and as if I wasnt freaked enough as it issssssss
are all you guys done w. your Alevels? Im bout to finish in jan 2012 (hopefully lol)

I am finishing A levels in Jan 2012 as well :)

oo and youve already given your SATs?? aw man Im hella far behind! my moms been saying that I should start studying for em AFTER my exams are over in jan. which/ how many subjects did you take btw? :)

I have Phy chem bio and math …already gave exams of those 4 this may/june
gonna complete further math now and take the exam this Jan

What are your subjects?

wow so uh 5 subjects altogether? thats insane. Ive got business studies, math, econ and acc lol. YO is it true that one of the requirements for unis in the states and canada is to have like min. 5 subjects (fo GCE kids)? :/

NO and NO

for Canada individual departments have individual requirements
For instance Engineering department in U of T would most prolly require 3 A’s in phy chem and math

As for US there is no bar on the number of subjects you can take
However more subject you take greater the rigor of your course so that helps
BUT don’t think its the only factor.

lol sick. you decide what unis you wanna apply to yet? btw which area are you from!

I am from Dhaka live in Dhanmondi
Well I haven’t exactly decided where to apply …still researching LOL

Where are you from?

I’m from dhanmondi too!!! lol. are you picking from the states or canada and other countries as well?

I live in Dhanmondi too XD

Anyone started their essays? They’re gonna kill me… And I’ve neglected SAT prep for far too long but now that school’s open, I’m not home until 6ish sigh Fingers crossed for the best but I’m sure my luck’s run out by now sigh

what. essay. are. you. talking. about. freaking out…

wait the application essays lol?!

…wow you guys must be rich kids.

i was born and raised in the US although i’m bangladeshi.

seriously though. you guys must be really rich kids in BD.

^ thats what I was thinking too! lol. I grew up in canada, pretty much lived outside bd all my life and now Im here and all these kids are balling af haha smh :(

I am not rich and neither are my parents LOL
Middle class Bengali man hehe :P

Well I am doing what I do best. Procrastinating

Oh and @deadbent: US and maybe Singapore and Canada not sure yet though…depends on whether I get aid or not.

BTW guys any back up plan in case Mission USA fails?

def. australia :D

Lol yeah Australia

@deadbent - now you’re freaking me out… a lot of colleges have supplementary essays and then there’s like a common essay/s… lol!!!

I’m definitely not a rich kid XD I’m just lucky I got a scholarship that covers my uni app costs XD

Supplementary essays are simply pain.

When they ask you “why university X” you have to do tonnes of research to find stuff about the university that you like.

If I dont get in a to a good place I’ll probably settle here in BD :/
