They really don’t send out a packet? That kind of sucks but I would gladly acceptance at UCB over a package.

Did any of the dependent students receive Verification forms from Financial aid office???

When I spoke to someone in the admissions office, they told me they would send me an acceptance letter that would look exactly the same as the one on the myberkeleyappl. So I believe we would be getting packages

^ That’s what I heard too…Berkeley is trying to minimize costs with the face of “environmental friendliness”.

I should have kept my acceptance folder packet…I didn’t know it would become a nostalgic relic.

IMO, Berkeley should send out formal acceptance packets…big events in peoples lives deserve formal communication…not some stupid screenshot.

veralyn, only part of your statement is correct. They do not send rejection letters through the mail… however they do send a hard copy of your acceptance through the mail about a week after its posted online. It will be in a blue folder in a yellow envelope…
If anyone ever watches the OC in that episode when Marrisa throws away her Berkeley acceptance letter… well that is exactly what it looks like… I hated that episode btw.

I hope you’re right…Berkeley should.

LOL yes… well i made my UCLA screenshot my fb profile picture :)

How dare she throw away her acceptance letter. Does she know what I am going through to get one?

So, I’m sure it looks nothing like the envelope that Meadow Soprano opened. Since it was a plain envelope and it had a folded letter that congratulated her on her admission to Berkeley. (That was my most favored scene of the season).

haha, I just looked up the episode on youtube…that’s a pretty envelope I wanna get it too…!!!

Too bad she ended up going to Columbia.

yeah, but I also don’t know if that’s their practice for sure. I know it’s not THAT big of deal but I’ve started this little fat-UC-envelope collection haha (my apologies if that’s a bit on the cocky side), if I get into cal, I want one from them too damn it! hahah…

on the upside, if I’m rejected, I won’t have to be reminded of it twice (on the site and then in snail mail lol.

now that the final hour is upon us, so-to-speak… I can’t help but think how it has really just been one heck of a ride this year. So much has changed. I stayed at my cc and re-applied after getting rejected from all five schools last year… that I still don’t believe that my acceptances are real.

oooohhh berkeley, please don’t break my heart and break my string of no rejections. <3

UCBChem…I saved mine from last year (call me sentimental) I wonder if my class was the last one to receive letters that are not screenshots?

My acceptance packet was a glossy blue/gold folder with Berkeley images on the cover…very classy. It included the acceptance letter, information on housing and CalSO, etc.

If Berkeley doesn’t do this anymore, shame on 'em…oh, didn’t you read the info on our website…give me a break…

ucb/nyu… lol, I cringe every time I see that part

ucbchem… mine looked like that too. Maybe they’ll at least put the screen shot in a glossy blue folder

ah!!! the system is being updated!!!

That’s good to hear!

no fckn way…

lemme check

In other words, your fate is currently being sealed in 1s and 0s…

way. is yours being updated too? i’m sure everybody’s is.
