why do they have all girls dorms?
do they have all guys dorms?

when they build balch, they stipulated that it must always remain an all girls dorm. it’s one of the nicest smelling dorms on campus.

doglvr–Thanks for the information!! I signed up for Balch–but it had seemed like no one knew anything about it when I visited and asked. It sounds like a nice setup, I’m glad that I picked it. Thanks!

I was in Becker this year. Living conditions are great, food is awful (for cornell). Bethe and Cook are basically the same as Becker, but I’d pick Bethe if I had my choice, simply because it’s one year newer and the food is marginally better. The paint in all of these dorms is extremely thin, and the outer part comes off very easily. You can even rip right through the drywall if you’re not careful. Just a warning. Otherwise things are pretty good. Nice big bathrooms, and overall just nice.

which is the best program dorm?

considering the whole point of a program house is that its tailored to a specific interest, i dont think anyone can really tell you which program house is best for you. all they can tell you is the specific interest of each program house…which theyve done…repeatedly.

any transfers get their room assignment?
where are you guys living?

ROFL. didn’t you ask that in 3 other threads already?

sexy123…you do ask one too many questions >_>

the majority of students at cornell hate programming housing…that said…those who can leave cornell housing…

as a transfer, you’ll already have enough worries other than housing, so just make the most of it…
