The Best Super Bowl Ad was?

I didn’t see the Tebow ad either. Did they not show it in some areas?

I believe the Tebow ad was pre-game.

I just googled it and watched it. It was pretty lame. Not much there. I can’t believe they spent the amount they did on it. It was a sweet ad, but didn’t say much other than to check out the full story at Focus on The Family website to learn about their story.

The Doritos ads I saw, the first three, were in my opinion, totally tasteless. There’s a brand of cheese I won’t buy because of the name. I think I will add Doritos to the list of advertisers I will not support.

My favorite was the the google ad callled “Parisian Love”.

That Tebow ad was a joke. It wasn’t a good use of anyone’s money. They must have cut back on the content after all the backlash.

You can see most of the ads at [2010 Super Bowl Ads - CBSSports.com](http://www.cbssports.com/superbowlads)

The Tebow ad was the second ad of the game. right after Betty While/Abe Vigoda - which was hilarious.

toledo - agree the Tebow ad was a non-event.

I loved the google ad. Our daughter had just left for study abroad in Scotland a few hours before the game. So you can imagine I had been googling everything I could related to her trip for the last several days. This weekend it had been mostly airports delays and cancellations. Luckily she flew Florida to Newark to Edinburgh and snow turned out not to be a problem.

^^Agree. I loved the google ad! I missed the Betty White and the Tebow ads. Will need to catch them on YouTube!

The Betty White/Abe Vigoda ad was terrific! Definitely my favorite.

Hated the green police ad. Way over the top and ridiculing people who care about the environment, then appealing to them to buy their car!? I have no idea who they were targeting here.

Only saw about 1/2 the game, but have to say the Google ad touched my heart.

Here’s another good spot to see all the ads and hear a little lighthearted commentary:

[Best and Worst Super Bowl Ads 2010: The Good, the Bad and the (Misogynistically) Ugly - Tuned In - TIME.com](http://tunedin.blogs.time.com/2010/02/08/best-and-worst-super-bowl-ads-2010-the-good-the-bad-and-the-misogynistically-ugly/#more-8419)

thought the google ad was clever and didn’t bow down to the lowest common denominator in terms of stupidness, can we say “all guys in underwear ads and I don’t even remember what they were for except bad taste.” Also liked the retro-punch buggy ad from volkswagen with stevie wonder punching the guy at the end and him like, “how do you do that?” No matter what generation you are … you’ve played “punch-buggy.”

zebes

I loved the Google ad, but also the Brett Favre 2020 MVP commercial. He’s a good sport…

Another vote for the Google ad. It was a sentimental ad that also really highlights what Google is.

I loved the Google ad–it was cute, creative, and not stupid. I’m also a sucker for the baby farm animals, even if I’m not a giant fan of beer commercials. The Volkswagen punch buggy commercial was funny–the Amish guys! and Stevie Wonder!

Honorable mention to Punxsutawney Palomalu; stupid ad, but the faces he made were hilarious.

The E-trade baby commercials creep me out, for some reason. The babies are adorable and I’d like them just fine if I were seeing them on another ad.

I realized, after the game, how weird it is to watch any TV event in January and not see a single jewelry ad.

Absolutely, the Google ad was the “best.” I also liked the Snickers ad. I always enjoy the E-trade ads. I can’t imagine what it takes to produce those ads but they are always entertaining and hold my attention. Most of the ads I thought were just horrible. I especially disliked the Doritos ads.

Regarding the Tebow ad, I was quite surprised. I’m no Focus on the Family fan, but I thought it was an interesting strategy and angle.

I only saw part of the game, and I had to leave the room when the Who was “performing”–I love their music but maybe it’s time to hang it up, guys–but I seem to have missed virtually all of the classic type of superbowl ad.

The one I did see–Denny’s–was lousy. Speaking as the owner of a flock of chickens, they are not frightened by laying eggs. Maybe if they were planning to serve fried chicken… it was just stupid. I gather that there was another chicken ad that may have been better.

Google. The music in the background, the sounds like church bells, crying baby. Emotional. Perfect.

The Audi ad that portrayed environmentalism as a 1984 / Nazi police state was disgusting. Turned me off to the concept of buying an Audi.

Most of the ads were pretty bad. I liked the google ad because that’s how the thing works and it’s more real than the Bing “decision engine” marketing lie.
