…is did anyone NOT receive that admissions e-mail yesterday telling them to continue to work hard in high school and to report any updates to Brown, blah blah blah??

Seems like everyone did get the e-mail even if they’ve been rejected ED (ouch) but I’m curious as to anyone who may not have received it.

For what it is worth… S. did NOT receive it!!

He visited the school last Spring and applied in November. All his other paperwork is in order and has been sent (except IDOC). He applied early but NOT as an ED candidate, just RD. Of all the schools he has applied to, he has heard the least from Brown. (Stats: 2120/1440 3.7 unweighted/4.25 weighted, SAT II MathII 800/USHIS 800/Bio 700 --URM- AA male, private school) BROWN was the school he loved on his visit. He also enjoyed his Brown interviewer ; they hit it off well, almost immediately.

But I think the romance has waned a bit since being accept Honors College to Chapel Hill and full freight to Pitt/Honors. What’s odd is we have never received a speck of mail or correpondence from BROWN–nothing. To be honest I used to pooh-pooh all the mail coming in the house, but with the long wait… there is something to “out of sight out of mind”, especially if you’re not one of these… “OMG if I dont’t go to X school, I’m going to die…It’s my DREAMMMM School.” For better or worse, S. is just not that kid. lol.

Whatever, post deleted, but the point was the e-mail means nothing.

“The above?” Are you responding to those who received that email or to my email. If my email, my son did NOT apply through Questbridge.

Did those of you who did not receive the email check your spam folders?

It’s hard to imagine that there was an intentional oversight when a mass e-mail is sent out.
