<p>As anyone who has been here a couple years knows this forums is cyclical. Sometimes it is dominated by “WILL I GET IN???” threads, sometimes by “Packing List” threads, and sometimes the natives get restless and we sink back into topics that… ignite passion. I think we’re trending toward the latter at the moment.</p>
<p>So allow this thread to be your lightning rod. Get it all out of your system here, and let the forum go back to whatever it is that it is.</p>
<p>(By the way, AA is social engineering, yes your roomate is gay but he isn’t into you, yes there are racists on your campus and yes history majors, I’d like fries with that.)</p>

<p>…And also, the gay roomate is only into you if you look like Johnny Depp, Cillian Murphy, Justin Long, Brad Pitt, etc. And only if you have personality.</p>
<p>I personally think that gays are godless, Affirmative Action is only for slacker middle-class black people riding on the coattails of guilty limo liberals, and racism is an invention of the media.</p>
<p>But those are just my beliefs. I have nothing against you people except for your degenerate lifestyle. Could someone chance me for MIT’s engineering program? I’m transferring next fall. I used to like humanities until I realized that my IDEAS are more advanced than the books my stupid professors try to make me read. It’s OK though because I’ll be the one with a job that helps society while you poets and artists will just sit around gaying each other.</p>
<p>If you really want to ignite debate on CC, make any of these assertions:</p>
<p>Sociology majors can actually get jobs
Maybe getting a massive salary isn’t the be-all-end-all.
Engineers can write. In fact, there are even undergrad engineering students who write theses.
You weren’t entitled to an acceptance, and a black person probably didn’t take it away from you.
Maybe the SAT deserves less credit than CC gives it.
Getting into a top college shouldn’t be used as a gauge for superiority.
Most low income students aren’t going to Yale and getting tons of financial aid. The middle class isn’t being robbed so colleges can throw buckets of money at the poor.</p>
<p>I personally think that all foreigners, gays, minorities and liberal arts and fine arts majors should be rounded up and hauled off to California. And then we should nuke California.</p>
<p>That’s just my opinion though, don’t mean to offend anyone. It’s NBD.</p>
