<p>Maybe someone who has been on campus already this year knows the answer. D and her friends are worried that they will have no place to go, because the Blue Room could be closed due to Faunce renovations. Horrors! They may be totally disconnected… forever!!!

<p>Not currently under construction to my knowledge. Most of the work is being done in JWW right now and I haven’t seen any Faunce construction yet.</p>

<p>Well, all’s right with the world. D and friends were heaving great sighs of relief yesterday when they checked into their dorms and there were signs pointing out the delicacies of the Blue Room. I am soooo glad that the heavens have smiled on these lucky duckies. ;)</p>
<p>okay am i the only one who thinks hte blue room is way overrated…perhaps even kinda gross?</p>
<p>Angell Street appears to be united on this one-- I kind of think the Blue Room is both overpriced and sucks, both from a food perspective, and hang out perspective.</p>
<p>But that’s one of the reasons we don’t have a student center-- we believe there is something very Brown about having a ton of small enclaves that attract totally different crowds to hang out.</p>
<p>“We” meaning some people not including myself. I never notice different crowds at Jo’s compared to The Gate compared to the Blue Room…all Brown students to me!</p>
<p>Oh by the “we” I meant institutionally that was a stance taken by the administration. I happen to disagree, but it was definitely a collective “we” without speaking for everyone or even myself.</p>
<p>I wish we had a central student center</p>
<p>Way back in the 80’s we had the Airport Lounge AND the Blue Room (in a different space) AND Big Mother’s (in the basement level of Faunce). The Airport Lounge was the greatest, not for food but for mood.</p>
<p>And Big Mother has great chocolate chip cookies.</p>
