I was talking to a friend about taking summer courses at a city college. We were both wondering if the BOG waiver can be given at multiple colleges if we decided to attend more than one.
In most cases, aid can only be awarded where you are a matriculated student…and you can’t be a matriculated student at two colleges.
The BOG waiver is for Calif students who are attending a community college.
Where will you be going to college in the fall? Where were you thinking of taking classes in the summer?
The BOG waiver is for a school that you’re matriculating at and are seeking a degree…not for random classes taken at random schools.
I am attending two schools. A state school and a city school.
At which college are you enrolled in a degree seeking program?
The state school.
If you are a matriculated student at the state school…you can’t be a matriculated student at a second school.
As @mom2collegekids noted…the BOG waiver is used at the school where you are a matriculated student.
But to check…call your “state school” and ask them.
Could you please explain what you mean by “state schools” and “city school”?
