Parent night last night. I saw my first Order of the Arrow ceremony. Very serious stuff.

quopoe – glad that your son is participating in scouts. OA can be very impressive, so I hope you son can participate. It is a good incentive to reach first class – which is requirement to be called out for OA. Both my sons are brotherhood members of OA and my younger son is also an Indian Dancer and extremely active in OA as a committee member and more.

What I found is that when my boys started getting tired of scouts (maybe a little too repetitive for them) OA really gave them a boost and kept them going. Both will be getting their Eagle rank this year, so they are very happy about that.

I pick my younger son up from camp tomorrow – he earned the last two badges required for Eagle at camp, plus 2 conservation awards and the polar bear award (for jumping in a snowmelt pond at 6:15am – brrrrrrrr!).

Camp Alexander in Lake George, Colorado is a pretty awesome damp if anyone is looking for something different!
