There are lots of artists she designs for that I just don’t get, but that’s the beauty of art really.

We went to the Paramount Theatre in Seattle last night to see the musical Wicked, and it was fantastic. That area that used to be a little shady looked clean and lovely now, they’ve done a really good job fixing it up. But one thing I’ll probably remember the most about last night was the ladies restroom in the Paramount. Huge line of women (of course), and one of the stalls had a door that popped open if it wasn’t held closed on the outside. There was someone using that stall, and every lady that walked by it on the way to her own stall pressed against the door to hold it closed until the next woman walked by to hold it closed. It was so typical of Seattle. People are so nice. :grinning:

I’m so happy both our kids will soon be with us for Thanksgiving. My wife and I have been cooking and prepping to make sure both get some of their favorite foods.

D will be flying out of Baltimore early tomorrow morning.

S just texted and said that he had a very friendly Uber driver that took him from Palo Alto to SFO in a Tesla using full self driving. He thought the drive was…OK. Interestingly, he mentioned that they were passed by another fully autonomous vehicle - one that was running his AI software. :+1:

Must have been a pretty high fare going Oslo Alto to SF!

Another Seattle brag. I’ve lived here on and off for 45 years now, and the only thing I’ve ever had stolen was a bike, (but knowing my dad, he might have decided bikes were unsafe and had it magically disappear). Phones, wallets, credit cards, someone always turns them in when we lose them.

I thought our luck was over today when my husband was convinced that someone at Costco stole his iPhone out of his cart. Find my friend showed it moving to different Asian restaurants and stopping, like the phone was in the car of an Uber eats driver. The location kept coming back to the same restaurant, and we thought the thief maybe threw it into the bushes, so we started calling the phone to see if we could find it. The phone was finally answered by a Costco employee, seems that someone found it and turned it in, and the phone deep in a warehouse gives off odd positions. My faith in Seattlelites is restored! I love this place!

This one qualifies as a brag. My son and his wife have been looking for a house. They are about to move back to the school where they went undergrad and where he went to vet school for his residency and her job. They have been looking and everything they have found sold before they got their offer in (or above their offer). They had been looking on Zillow.
My son decided to do some digging and found a person who has a reputation for flipping houses in the town and doing a good job. He found their web site which said to call them about their latest projects. He called and it turned out they have a house just 4 miles from the vet school that is in their price range and will be ready around the first of then year. (They wanted it by Feb 1 for her job). His wife and her parents ran the 3 hours up there and really liked it. So … they are under contract! They are both over the moon!
I’m proud of him for doing research and going outside the box!

Are you watching the Cowboys game today? D embellished Lainey Wilson’s garments. Over 20,000 Swarovski crystals. I haven’t seen it. Yet.

I’m watching it now. That outfit is gorgeous. I can’t believe there are over 20,000 crystals! Your D is brilliant!

Small world! Ds2’s good friend styles her. I wonder whether they know each other? I’ll send you a PM.

ETA: I was singing every word. I love Lainey!

My son’s Bengal (cat) has learned how to open doors, that open in his direction! This is a little (big!) problem.

Someone I know taught their dog how to do this. For two days they thought it was cool. Then they figured out the downside.

Oops.

Ds2 likes the Christmas present I picked out to give his gf. That is all. But I really like it, too, so this makes me super happy.

My DH parked very far from the location of the surprise party and while I understand to a degree, it was a bit of a walk. And it’s cold and rainy out. So I grumbled as we walked… until I spotted wet $100 bill on the sidewalk!

38 hand painted holiday cards completed (took me 3 weeks) - several styles are duplicated, but that doesn’t make them any easier. Some are clearly nicer than others.

I used to ā€œonlyā€ paint about 20, but this year my love tossed in many for coworkers and caregivers - I don’t mind -
