The Brennity assisted living in Vero Beach FLA

Does anyone know anything about The Brennity assisted living in Vero Beach FLA? Specifically if a senior snowbird was to go there for the month of March knowing nobody? Any experiences are appreciated. The good, the bad, the ugly.

My mom lives in Vero Beach and she said she has never heard of this AL.

Thank you busyparent. All I know is that the address is 7955 16th Manor Vero Beach FLA 32966 “The Brennity at Vero Beach Senior Living.” From the map it is clearly not on the beach. There are online reviews but nothing substantial.

Caring.com has some recent reviews. If you can believe them it sounds like it has nice amenities but service has recently been deteriorating. Lots of pictures available.

You could ask in the City Data forum for Vero Beach. Here’s a post from 2014 that may or may not be helpful.

I saw those reviews. Thank you. I wish there were more like on Trip Advisor. I’ve learned that these type of sites can control reviews. I’d love to hear from someone who has firsthand experience with this (or second or third).

I don’t know about this particular community but a senior community on Oahu near us says that folks can rent for a month a furnished place with all meals included and use of facilities. They say some SRs do this when traveling rather than staying at a hotel. It does sound like a low risk way to try out a place or more that one may wish to live in.

Perhaps contact a local (to the facility) geriatric care manager and see if they have any experience with it. We vetted a place local to us before considering a permanent out of state move for my parents; I then paid an independent geriatric care manager for a consultation to confirm/challenge our choice. Perhaps an abundance of caution, but very reassuring. Some care managers might be willing to have a phone session or answer a brief question.

Also, the state of FL likely inspects ALs and may have data about any violations found available online by year.
