Oh my god guys… I got into Brown and the PLME early decision!!! Ahhhhhh!!!

Got deferred. Not as sad as I thought I would be. Oh well.

Time to start RD, wait on UChicago, and see what I can do to get in RD round!
Goodluck everyone!

Accepted! Anyone else from NC?

ACCEPTED, this is legit amazing for me.
If you didn’t get accepted, I just want to relay some info my interviewer said: Don’t worry if you don’t get into Brown. You are so talented and academically gifted that you will be accepted to a great school no matter what and that school would be proud to have you there.

Deferred. And yeah I’m sure I’ll end up somewhere great, but I wanna go to Brown and nowhere else… Kinda why I applied early.

@13dWARd

I’m from Raleigh!!

My son got deferred… he’s very disappointed as he has his heart set on Brown (obviously, as he applied ED). I did too because it seems like such a perfect school for him. He’s an outstanding student and person but he just doesn’t like to stand out, which works against him- I’m sure they probably can’t help but get fooled a little bit by people that work hard at grabbing attention and headlines even with meaningless posturing - I guess it does show a healthy ambition of sorts, I admit… It seems to me that the odds would really be worse for deferred EDs in the RD pool than they were in the ED pool… I suppose the competition in the ED pool is harder due to its self-selecting nature, but the sheer numbers in the RD pool have to make it look pretty bad… the deferreds already missed one cut, the number that make the next cut must be pretty darn small… sigh [as Tom Cruise said in “Risky Business” “Looks like University of Illinois!”]

@LiveLaughLearn Awesome! I’m from Charlotte.

My son is another accepted tarheel. He is from Hillsborough.

Decision: REJECTED

ACT: 32

Senior Year Course Load: Molecular Biology (Princeton University Special Student Status), AP BC Calc, AP US History, Honors World Literature, AP Latin
