The Business Honors Program Admissions

I am out of state and interested in the The Business Honors Program @ Illinois. Does anyone know what they look for in terms of admissions and what kind of stats usually get selected for an interview?

Have you looked at the website? It says:

Between 35-40 incoming freshmen will receive invitations to join the College of Business Honors Program, a leadership program that provides students with special experiences that can be used to build skills that can be used to make the experience in the College of Business better for all students.
Along with academic achievement, we’re looking for leadership skills, social diversity, creativity, community service activities, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. You’re automatically considered for the Honors Program if you are admitted to the freshman class of the College of Business.

Per the fall 2016 freshman admit for the College of Business middle 50%:
College of Business
ACT Score: 28-32
SAT Score (no writing): 1320-1460
TOEFL: 103-110
GPA: 3.50-3.88

So I am guessing that the 35-40 students that receive an invitation to join the honors program have over a 32 ACT score. According to the common data sets (CDS) there are almost 500 business freshman.

I will just add that as a parent of two current business students, I believe that while academic stats are important, the Honors Program seems to be made up of students with diverse backgrounds, perhaps with an emphasis on service.

Thank you both! My GPA and ECs I think are worthy of a shot at it, but wasn’t sure if I should try and boost my SAT and apply RD instead of EA.
