I did get to go to Wal-Mart today, and the grocery store, since those were both open. I hate Wal-Mart. Target is much better.

Why do you hate wal mart?

You got something against my favorite store?

Welcome to the watering hole!

Yes, I have something against your favorite store. Wal-Mart kills local competition, abuses its employees, contributes to urban sprawl, and achieves low prices through questionable practices.

watering hole!

what does that mean? And wal mart can’t help if its too much competition for other weak companies. It doesn’t abuse its employees? sources?

Wal-Mart is the worst.

Okay, my iPod is being a serious b-tch and I haven’t been able to fix it. This is bad.

want to trade?

Just forget the iPod. You don’t need that stuff to have a good time.

Yes, Wal-Mart abuses it’s employees.

Anything else?

Jesus, are you just trying to say their all underpaid?

is that all? howis that abuse??

I worked. For ten. Hours today.

There’s always money in the banana stand.

I didn’t work today. Chipotle was closeddd.

“A 2003 wage analysis reported that cashiers, the second most common job, earn approximately $7.92 per hour and work 29 hours a week. This brings in annual wages of only $11,948. [“Statistical Analysis of Gender Patterns in Wal-Mart’s Workforce”, Dr. Richard Drogin 2003]”

I make less than that as a cashier. I’d say that’s actually a pretty decent wage for the skill set required. It’s not even full time. I’m not saying it’s entirely livable, but it’s not “abuse” either. (I’m not saying that I disagree that some of their practices are shady)

I’m dreading Ohio.

I’m going to burst into tears if I can’t figure out how to fix my silly iPod.

I wish DVR were here.

I make less than that too. But I’m also a hostess/do whatever person. I need a raise, man.

What’s wrong with your silly ipod?

When are you coming here, snoop?

Okay, for like two weeks its been getting b-tchy every time I plug it in, but if it doesn’t work on Monday, it works on Wednesday, you know? But not today.

So like, two weeks ago, I restored it and reloaded everything and it worked like gravy, so I decided to restore it again today. And since I’ve restored it, iTunes has refused to recognize it. It still shows up in My Computer.

And, AND! Now every time I plug it in, my computer restarts. I’ve done everything, seriously. I even disabled auto-restart to see the “BSOD” and just…no, nothing is working and everything seems so complicated and it’s driving me bananas.

It was b-tchy yesterday, so I reinstalled iTunes and it worked. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes TWICE today and it still hasn’t helped.

I really don’t want to send it in, but I’m reeeally far from an Apple store. ))))): Help.

Name it Margot Kidder and throw it through a window.

I am going in…a few weeks.

Umm…I guess you could maybe try a different computer?

I make less than $8.00/hr at my job too, but I’m not living on that. If you make $1,400 per month, and $500 of that has to go for rent, and $150 to a car, and $200 for food, that doesn’t leave much left to buy gas and health insurance. And those costs are all conservatively estimated.

Ohio’s not THAT bad. Just lower your expectations before you come.

What version of itunes do you have? I went back one version because the latest one was giving me trouble with my iPod.
