Now I’ve had that song stuck in my head all morning.

I was bored this morning, and Facebook and CC couldn’t satisfy me, so I went for a walk. With my camera. I walked around town and took 150 pictures.

This will sound über-nerdylicious, but I was thinking. When I was in Spain, I took pictures of anything and everything. Gas station signs, parked cars, boats, palm trees, old buildings, Japanese tourists, all included. So then I wondered what it would be like if someone came to my town and took pictures like that. So I did it myself. I took pictures of my house/yard, the fields, the streets, junky houses, nice houses, ponds, flowers, the sky, American flags (I saw at least fifty of them), parked cars/trucks, basketball courts, swing sets, you know, the works. I even took pictures of a very scenic drainage ditch. I played Hometown Tourist.

I think this is the beginning of a college essay. Yes? No?

When you have a camera in your hand, you see things you never saw before. I honestly never paid attention to how many flowers there are in my town, until I had a camera with me and I could take pictures of them. I also never really realized what awesome pictures I can get of an open field. Being able to see five miles off into the distance makes for some really cool pictures.

haha no it wasn’t a question mark…i got a picture taken, just the same head shot as in every other year. that is what goes in the yearbook, and then our senior pictures are separate.
