Eeek. I just had the worst conversation with my mom about college. My college list now needs to be amended, because I’m not allowed to go more than four hours away. My mom went crazy over how difficult it will be to get me to and from Chicago, and that was one of the closer schools on my list. That’s really sad, since I live only four hours from Chicago. I guess that rules out Brown, Princeton, Amherst, WashU, Bucknell, Lafayette, and Franklin & Marshall. Eek.

Honestly, once everything was said and done, I’m happy to be going to college just 5 hours away. Not having to fly makes everything a lot easier. I don’t want to imagine how complicated it would be if I had decided to go to Cali or somewhere on the east cost. No no no.

Wisdom teeth removal = the biggest b-tch of all time. ow ow ow ow.

I’ll probably like it too, but it just really shook me up, having to change my list so suddenly. My parents didn’t go to four-year universities, so they really know nothing about the process. My mom’s only experience with college is that every time she’s been on a campus, she’s gotten a parking ticket. So that’s made visiting colleges an uphill battle. “We don’t have the money right now. We’re too busy right now. I wouldn’t know what to do when I got to a college. I can’t take off work. I want my weekends to relax.”

Sorry, I’m just a little irked tonight. But…Tomorrow is the last day of my McJob!

Yeah, the whole college process is crazy expensive. Don’t stress over college visits right now. A good friend of mine visited colleges before she applied, and ended up visiting again after she got accepted. So it’s kind of a waste right now. Just research them to death online, have phone interviews, send email inquiries, etc and then wait to see where you get accepted.

But a word of advice, leave April OPEN…don’t have anything big planned because I’m sure some colleges will offer to fly you out/pay for your gas to go visit. That happened to me. And I was crazy-busy in April and I had to juggle a zillion things and it messed some stuff up for me.

Just “my humble opinion”…which isn’t so humble.

PS: I wish Elizabeth Hasselbeck would s t f u. White people will never be able to respectfully say the N-word. The end.

and some of us NEVER visited…so yea!

woo I had my birthday today. I went to the casino with one hundred dollars and came out with one hundred and six. yessss.

impressssssive!

I’ve never been to a casino. We only have sleazy ones up in these “parts.”

I want to go to Monte Carlo. Not Vegas ever, ew. Maybe Atlantic City.

Ohio doesn’t have any casinos. There are always commercials about why Ohio simply MUST have a casino, to keep gambling money in the state. It gets humorous after a while.

I feel like there’s something insanely wrong with me. I used to get along just fine with my mom, and then the last week turned nasty. Now we’re not even talking. That made dinner at a restaurant interesting tonight. Otherwise, I just really don’t feel right. Perhaps it’s that time of the month for me.

what music playing software is the best? Itunes? Winamp? Should I get a new computer?

probably itunes…idk

rhapsody?

iTunes works. I personally use Windows Media Player, since it’s on my computer. Why should you get a new computer? I guess you can get a new one if you want one.

NOTHING has happened in the Cafe this weekend. Everyone must have better things to do. What could be better than the Cafe?

strip clubs?

Nah. Those are overrated. Coffee shops are way better. Especially if you’re going with a bunch of friends to discuss whatever comes up.

You sound like you have experience with strip clubs, JB.

I think I’m done with the Cafe. This is just silly. It no longer serves a purpose for me.

But this isn’t like, official. Yet.

My computer just isn’t… good enough for college. I need to upgrade my RAM and hard drive. But I could just get new sticks of RAM and an external hard drive. I’m debating.

I’ve been working way too much. But I’m mad right now.

In that case, go for a new computer. I can’t say much about MacBooks, but Windows Vista is awesome. Don’t listen to all Sheed’s attacks. He’ll probably tell you to use Linux, which isn’t possible if you get a laptop. Just make sure you look around (including the home shopping TV channels) for good deals on great systems. HSN in particular has really good deals on computers, and you can get a lot of free software with them.

This place is like a morgue without Snoop and the Canadian.
