No. I refuse to concede to your wily Canadian ways today. No.

My friend went off on me today because I always tell them about how I was the first one to like MIA. It was funny.

My friend went off on me today because I always tell them about how I was the first one to like MIA. It was funny.

Everyone loves Paper Planes, it’s kind of painful.

If you guys ever come to Chicago by plane and take the blue line from O’hare to downtown, you should look left when you enter the tunnels. There’s this awesome series of graffiti that creates an animation of a flower blooming then dying.

I could tell you what reminded me of that, but it wouldn’t make any sense.

Edit: Yak, I couldn’t agree more. The radio murdered that song.

Edit 2: Do they do graffiti in Canada?

And then they try to sing it, and I die a little inside.

I always hate it when those crazy CCers say things like “200 volunteer hours.” That’s so dumb. I’ve worked close to 1500 hours in my jobs. Are minors allowed to get jobs in Canada? In my ever so humble opinion, jobs are really better for college applications than volunteering. The general consensus is that volunteering is better, but I don’t think it should be. It’s important that students get some experience working for money, because that makes them accountable. Sure, volunteers have supervision, but that’s nothing like trying to please a boss.

I should go to bed early tonight. I need to get a full night’s sleep sometime.

I refuse to acknowledge the radio edit. Refuse.

I have my first recycling club meeting tomorrow.

I have around 400 volunteer hours. But I’m the president of student volunteers and I basically run the volunteer program. So.

And yes, they do let minors get jobs here.

And yes, they do do graffiti here. I know about 5 people in my grade who spend all of their free time drawing graffiti in their notebooks.

I’m going to sleep.

I officially have 60 some, but it’s more like 120 some, but I forgot to get a letter last year. So.

Adieu, Canadian.

I reeeeeeeeally want to go to the University of Chicago. My parents (obviously) think that’s a bad idea, since Chicago is so big and far away (two and a half hours by train, four by car), and all that. But I love cities. The best part is that when I’m in a city, I don’t have the crazy allergies I have out here in the cornfields.

I’ve honestly never heard Paper Planes before. I must be living in some sort of cave. How does one go about this pop culture business?

Awesome on a stick. Don’t listen to the censored version. Don’t. It will scar you.

I was a step ahead of you. I just watched it. MIA looks like Sanjaya Malakar.

…

I actually listened to the radio edit for the first time today. And I died inside. I didn’t understand why my friends would sing it and not make note that there were gunshots.

Estoy muy cansado.

Unnecessary.

You know what else is unnecessary? Your face. Yup, that just happened.

Ohh dissss.

My bio teacher had laser eye surgery and something went horribly wrong so he’s away till October 14th, and my sub has absolutely no knowledge of biology. My teacher left all of his notes and homework and stuff for us, so the sub just gives us everything, but he’s useless. Luckily my school has a good, helpful science department. Gosh.

Oh, and my English teacher is a crazy b-tch.

I’m watching Sarah Palin’s speech and it’s making me want to shoot myself. And I have to take notes on it. Bleh.

My science department totally sucks. There’s a girl at my school that’s taking the Chem SAT II, and she went out and bought a book to study. She’s been studying now for a few months, trying to catch up to the level of the test. I looked at the Physics questions, after I’d just taken a whole year of Physics, and my knowledge could have gotten me a 500 on a good day. I would have to basically restudy the whole course to get a half-respectable score. Neither one of the science teachers knows what they’re talking about.

Did you see that? SINGULAR THEY.

I can’t understand why anyone would want to sing Paper Planes. How do you sing gunshots?

I think I’m going to finally register with YouTube. Why not? I need to know how this whole viral video thing works. Every time I hear about a viral video, it’s on the news on TV. As an Internet freak, I don’t understand why I’m so out of the loop when it comes to videos.

Ah, yes. All the news people said how she did such a good job. I thought she totally sucked. Of course, that’s probably because of my bias for Obama, but eh. She was sooooooooo boring. And I didn’t appreciate all the awkward pauses for audience reaction where she obviously wasn’t expecting it. I could also tell when she was reading the teleprompter, every time. Those silly news people never get it right.

I’m starting to talk like the Canadian.

You make gun noises as you pretend to shoot duel pistols in random directions, duh.

She makes this little smirk after everything she says, it looks like she’s thinking “I’m so ■■■■■■■ witty!” News flash, you didn’t write the speech, moron.
