The Cafe Watering Hole

Ohio hasn’t quite made the shift yet. It will be here in two weeks.

No, yak. No one knows how it is.

I like it rainy.

It was really nice here today.

If i had my way, it would be sunny and in the 70’s five days a week, it would rain and be in the 50’s one day a week, and it would snow two feet on Sundays so I could go sledding. Of course, all of the snow would have to disappear at midnight.

^Ick.

If I had my way, it would be 85 (29 for you Canadians) every day, and sunny. Period.

Everyday would be in the 60s with rain twice a week. Just cause.

Oh. My god. I want to kill my math book. What the hell does the area under the curve problem even mean?

Area under the curve is an integral. It’s the opposite of a derivative.

Silly Americans.

Silly Canada. I should do homework tonight, but I don’t think it’s happening.

Yes, but I do not know what a derivative or integral is. Because my teacher is an idiot.

I worked hard tonight.

I’m freaking exhausted. And now I have to do calculus.

I hate my calculus book.

I have an ap chem test tomorrow over I don’t know what.

Mine has two bikers holding hands on the cover. No, I’m not joking.

I quit after the first problem. The second was this ridiculous, convoluted parametric problem that just killed that last tiny bit of work ethic I had left in me. Sleep now. Good night.

Good night.

I did a lottt of reading for philosophy today, and I’m still not done. What do I care about human nature and homo faber and altruism and Mother Teresa and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. I don’t. The origin and basis of inequality, pfft. Leave me alone.

I just tried fencing, and I squatted for so long I can no longer bend my knees. Ow.

Oh, do we have a new Cafe regular, Zamzam?

I think philosophy is interesting, daft Canadian. AP chem, however, will bring about my downfall. Again.

I really like chemistry, and I think philosophy has the potential to be really interesting, but a lot of parts of it are extremely boring. I, personally, really like political philosophy, just because I like politics in general. However, I reeeeally don’t like things like epistemology. And I have a whole class dedicated to epistemology.

The IB philosophy core curriculum centers around the question “What is a human being?” which is basically extremely boring. However, the IB also has options (moral philosophy, political philosophy, religious philosophy, etc.), and students are required to select the one they want to study. I really appreciate that kind of flexibility, because I would seriously die in something like moral philosophy.

Moral philosophy is interesting. Everything is relative.

It’s not that I don’t like chemistry, it’s that everyone in my class failed the first two tests because “we don’t take it seriously.” Which is partially right, but still.

lolol my 6th grade school id is entertaining.

Apparently, rocker. I have neither the time nor motivation to set up a blog, and this works just as well to serve that purpose.

I’m really not interested in either chemistry or philosophy. I much prefer biology to the former, and political science to the latter.
