The Cafe Watering Hole

It’s 10 degrees here. C not F. Figure it out.

I’m jealous, rockermcr. It was 5 degrees C here last night.

I meant that you could walk out of Hyde Park in a direction other than straight north without getting mugged.

The ACT is more a test of attention span than it is of achievement. I took mine in a bio room, and there were all these neat posters to distract me; it was tough.

It was like that here this morning, Zamzam.

I hate the fall when it starts to become winter.

Neat.

I will like apush once we get past that silly civil war.

It was nice out here today. It only starts to suck when I have to scrape the ice off of my windows before I go to school.

Canadian, you should inform me of politics north of the border.

I’m going to win a Pulitzer Prize.

I’m so glad that I left my car at home. No early-morning windshield-scraping for me!

We just had a federal election because the parliament disagreed on some unimportant issue and the prime minister was forced to request that the governor general dissolve it (the parliament, that is). Then, the conservatives, who were the leading political party in the last parliament, gained more votes in this election than they did in the last one. However, they didn’t get enough seats in the house of commons to get a majority government, so it’s highly probable that the parliament will enter gridlock again within two years, and we’ll have another election. And Stephen Harper is still a moron and he’s still leading the country.

Also, the green party is b-tching because they got 900,000 votes but no seats. Silly first past the post electoral system.

If it’s really early in the morning, sometimes I’ll just drive with the windows mostly covered in ice. They defrost eventually, but it makes left turns an adventure.

Canadian politics sound more boring than American politics, if that’s even possible.

That’s something…I still don’t care about.

I don’t care about the War of 1812. Not even a little.

American politics are definitely more interesting than Canadian politics. I’ll admit it.

So, I’m off to study the psychoanalytic and existentialist themes in Kafka’s works. And then bed.

oMgzzz mE tOO!!!

Actually not. I just haven’t capitalized random letters in a long time.

I have to read a couple of stories out of Dubliners. I’ve never read Joyce before, so I’m actually kind of excited.

Guess what I found out.

Ah, Mike. Case tops Hyde Park. There are people mugged right on campus on a regular basis. Someone even told me that they know someone who was mugged outside the student center at 7 am. 7 am. Who goes out mugging people at 7 am?

Snoop, I don’t know what you found out. But college applications are going to do me in.

Laura Ingalls Wilder’s daughter was as crazy as Ayn Rand.

i’se be frontin fo my peeps at all hours, homes

I’m sure it does JB, Hyde Park isn’t dangerous at all. If you go south or west… not so much.

I have lots of work to do. Tomorrow might be a “sick” day.

I don’t want to do anything.

It snowed today.

It’s not supposed to snow in effing October.
