The thing is, I have a good vocabulary in Croatian and I know a lot of slang and a lot of technical terms, I just have trouble writing and reading because I don’t practice.

I’m good at Spanish, though, just because I speak French and the two are extremely similar. I don’t think I could write an essay in it, though.

My knowledge of Spanish slang is probably greater than my knowledge of actual Spanish. It helps when your locker is next to Diego’s and Gato’s.

So how did the ACT go, kiddies?

rocker mcr: IB student? enjoy the hell!

It went.

I find a way to make a reference to Harry Potter in almost every English essay I write.

I felt like English and Math were too easy. I should have gotten at least a 34 on both of those. I’m not sure about Reading. Last time I got a 36 on Reading, but that was probably luck. I missed maybe one or two questions on Reading, so maybe a 32. Science killed me. I never have enough time on that section. Hopefully I could squeak out a 30. I just really hope I get better than my 32 Composite. Otherwise, I could have spent my Saturday getting paid at work instead of donating to ACT.

I killed the science. Everything else I similarly killed. The writing, however…

I will have to stay up all night tomorrow.

I really don’t think it’s that bad. Some aspects of it are annoying, like CAS and the EE, but it’s not nearly as unmanageable as everyone pretends it is.

I own far too make v-neck sweaters.

ME TOO. That’s the extent of winter Tennizzle clothes sold.

I have no excuse. I could go out and buy any range of winter attire within ten minutes. However, I don’t own any ridiculous “American Apparel Deep V” shirts. But I know a number of people who do.

solid zip-up hoodies ftw.

My essay is going nowhere. Nowhere I tell you.

Yeah I’m most comfortable with zip-up hoodies too. But my hipster school has slowly killed my sense of right and wrong and I can even sometimes appreciate metallic leggings. Not on myself, though.

Metallic leggings, huh? Your school sounds more interesting than mine, by senior year everyone here dresses like a slob. Sweatpants, jeans, hoodies, gym shorts, and old camp t-shirts. All the little freshmen come dressed to the nines though.

Imagine walking into an American Apparel or Urban Outfitters store. My school would look identical, just all the mannequins would be alive.

The freshmen at my school dress normally, but they start to become like everyone else with every passing year.

Really? Are there fake brick walls, ironic books laying around, random pieces of furniture, and ridiculously obscure 2nd wave indie folk albums?

My time management skills are pitiful.

Most students at my school dress like slobs too. I, however, enjoy dressing up, so I usually look nice. I’m always dressed nicer than my boss at work. I usually wear jeans that fit and a polo in warm weather. In cooler weather, I start adding layers. Today I’m wearing fitting jeans, a thermal Quicksilver shirt, and a zip-up hoodie that’s black with a big eagle on the front. It’s rather emo-looking, but I like it. And it’s warm. I dress nicer to stay at home than most students here dress to go out.

The Common App is driving me insane.

Code word for skinny?

I don’t own any baggy clothes, but my shirts and pants are never too tight. I really only own one pair of pants that could be considered “skinny” and I never wear them. But either way, I look better in clothes that aren’t baggy.

If anyone knows any good articles about how body language varies by culture, I’d appreciate it if you’d send them to me. Because ToK is killing me.
