The Cafe Watering Hole

Also, I chose this for my philosophy essay. I’m writing about inequality within a society, but I’m mostly going to focus on its origins.

If someone were to ask me if I’m happy, I’d say yes. That’s what I’m supposed to say. Unless I really trusted the person asking me, I would never go into details about how I’m actually not happy.

Hmm. I’m happy, I couldn’t give you a great reason why though. Because life is good? I didn’t realize everything was so philosophamical.

It’s really hard for me to put feelings into words. I can’t even express simple things, such as I why I feel depressed. Today my mom asked me if anything is bothering me, since I apparently looked sick. I said I don’t know. Well, I said yes, there are things bothering me, but I don’t know what. It’s really hard to express the reasons why I feel the way I do.

Today was loads better than yesterday. My day actually wasn’t terrible. I still don’t think I’d call it good, but it was an improvement.

I think I’m at a college crossroads here. Do I apply to Princeton? Or not? Do I apply to Amherst? Do I just forget such ambitions and look for another safety with scholarships? I don’t know.

Yes.

I like gummy bears.

The CSS Profile takes 4 eva. In other news, I’m probably getting zero financial aid.

I wonder if I benefit from the GI Bill. I should go check.

There was all sorts of military stuff on the CSS, you probably benefit from something military-related.

You would think so.

The GI Bill only applies if your sponsor died, was listed MIA, or is in the hospital for a long term disability. Dang.

The military is much more convoluted than you would think. And their hospitals suck.

That’s not good. I wouldn’t really know, not many military folk in my family.

I need to do homework. My work ethic is so bad.

I should too. I’ll be back in an hour and a half.

I was interviewed today.

'bout what?

Oh, and while your at it, can you explain why all of the best animation packages, both 2d and 3d, are made in Canada?

I have a gigantic bruise on my knee. It hurts.

Animation packages… Hmm…

Mentorship program. It went relatively well.

Yup. My two favorite pieces of software, toon boom and houdini are both made in Canada. As are many other animation programs(if that’s the word you prefer) including the biggest ones, made by Alias. Explain, Canadian.

So who are you mentoring/getting mentored by?

Some Canadian, I imagine.

Bah humbug.

Oh, TouchDesigner is pretty sick too, and that’s made in Canada. I don’t know what it is, but Toronto and Montreal just dominate vfx/animation software.

I know nothing about animation programs/packages. I hadn’t even heard those terms before now.

I will be mentored by a professor at the university in my city. If I get accepted, that is. The specific program I applied to is very interesting. It’s really competitive, though, so it’s good that I even got an interview.

I stood up into the handle of the shower today, and my head started bleeding.

Now my mom is having fits thinking I got a concussion, and I have to call her in the morning when I wake up. I seriously doubt I’ll remember.
