The Cafe Watering Hole

You’re presenting a Spanish poem on Remembrance Day? That must be different than Veterans’ Day. If I were to present a Spanish poem on Veterans’ Day, I would be promptly escorted from the school and be made to watch Lou Dobbs for the rest of eternity. Veterans’ Day is a day when everyone is supposed to pretend to be patriotic, and acknowledging other cultures is not patriotic by US standards.

Silly Canadian philosophers. Now I have to go study the natural philosophy of one Isaac Newton. Peace.

Sean Hannity should go live in a box.

Fox News has gone crazy since the election. I can see already that Fox News is going to become the next media outlet to be highly critical of the president.

I’m itchy.

It snowed today.

It was cold today.

It had been such a long time since I got a good leg workout in. It feels good.

it doesn’t snow here… but it was so hot yesterday, my legs were burning through my jeans

Today was one of those days where I started contemplating life. Those days are never good.

I’m not working out today because I’m exhausted, because it’s freezing outside, and because I have too much to do.

I don’t feel like doing anything.

During my contemplations about life (which are very depressing, by the way), I decided that the only thing I ever want to do is IM and watch TV. I don’t even want to read books, or play piano. I have no hobbies outside of IM and TV. I usually have a list of hobbies ready when people ask me, but they’re just lies. My hobbies are very unstructured. I like playing piano, but not all the time. Since I’m not really that good (regardless of the number of awards I’ve won, I’m not good), there’s not much motivation for me to play. I’ve determined that I really don’t excel at anything, except maybe IM. I can type 90 words per minute, and my grammar is good, so IM is enjoyable.

On a lighter note, I’m going to rock the house tomorrow with my speech on hyperinflation. I know my speech will be different from the others. I’m not sure about the whole class, but I know one girl is giving a speech about the Edmonton Mall (yay Canadians [my idea, by the way]), and a guy is giving a speech about Buddhism, since he researched that for English class, and that way he could save time.

I’m drinking lichee black tea, and there are a ton of leaves in the bottom.

One by one they were all becoming shades. Better pass boldly into that other world, in the full glory of some passion, than fade and wither dismally with age.
-James Joyce

Think about it, JB. That could be my new favorite quote. I have a new one like once a week. So I went from one workout to another today, and now I’m exhausted. Luckily I can sleep until the afternoon tomorrow, Veterans Day!@!!!3RWFW!

My grandfather was at Normandy, just like the first 15 minutes of Saving Private Ryan.

I love that movie.

I don’t have favorite quotes. I don’t have favorite anything.

I wonder if other people contemplate life. I’m thinking of going around and asking normal people at school about these things. I’ll ask, “What defines you? Is there one thing that defines your personality? This is not just a label. This is something that you feel.” I’ll see what kind of answers I get.

My thermometer has been stuck at exactly 1.2°C for the last hour.

No one will take your questions seriously, JB.

I also like Band of Brothers.

Heroes is in Tennizzle. Whaatt??

Canadian, I have realized as much. But I’ll ask them anyway.

Now we’re down to -0.5°C. Yizzay.

I think my dismal day has come to a mediocre ending. That’s good.

Ask them if they’re happy. People don’t realize how profound that question is.
