<p>I need to write a 7-minute speech in support of mass transit. Well, it has to be between 5:50 and 7:10. I miss one point per each five seconds outside that time limit. I did that on my last one, as per the above. I choose weird topics. My informative speech was on hyperinflation, and now I’m going to persuade people to use mass transit. Why?</p>
<p>I was just on YouTube exploring Franco-Arabic pop music. Now I wish I hadn’t.</p>

<p>How does one come about the knowledge that Franco-Arabic pop music exists?</p>
<p>Let’s see…I think it started last spring, before I went to Spain. I went on a European website that listed the current Top 100 in Europe. I saw that Zaho’s “C’est Chelou” was on the list (toward the bottom), so I watched the video. I loved it. After that, I started looking for more songs by her. I came across “Dima”, which she sings in French. But she also has an Arabic version featuring Zaak, where she sings the verses in French, and she and Zaak sing the chorus in Arabic. From that song, I did more exploring and found some other Arabic artists, including Ouarda and Sawt al Atlas. That’s when I decided that Arabic music is too weird. Maybe I just haven’t found the right type yet.</p>
<p>Well, that’s the obvious way.</p>

<p>I’m having a TERRIBLE time. I have yet to finish 90% of my homework, and what I have done has taken me probably eight hours. On a weekday, that would have taken me two hours at the most. I need some help with my attention span. I don’t get it. I think I’ve determined that Sunday is not a good day for homework. The more time I have, the more time I take.</p>
