The Cafe Watering Hole

I should probably start my homework. Hmm.

My French teacher and I got into an interesting conversation about Islamic extremism and the Taliban last Thursday.

Enthalpy is a fun word.

But it has a sucky application.

I don’t care about my APUSH test. Nope. I don’t want to work.

Clint Eastwood is a badass in Gran Torino.

My teachers aren’t allowed to talk about politics besides for the gov teacher, district policy. It makes class kinda boring sometimes.

Neither are mine. Or religion. Or…anything interesting.

The beauty of Canada.

Statistics is ruining my life.

School is ruining my life. I need a deadline.

Oh, I thought of my movie. I told you of my genius. Just a matter of time now.

In my quiz match today, there were tons of questions about Canada. It was so weird. The first was one about the previous prime ministers. They listed the prime ministers, and the answer was Canada. I got it because two had English names, and one had a French name, so it had to be Canada. Then there was one about the current prime minister. Then they asked in which province is Vancouver located. Someone from the other team buzzed first and said Toronto. Ha.

Winter doesn’t start until January and I hate it.

My take-home calculus exam is just stupid. I’m pretty sure Prentice Hall is out to get me. I wish my calculus teacher made the tests and exams because his are easy.

Apparently you can plagiarize notes without copying from someone else.

I got a 0 on the notes assignment for “copying verbatim from the book.” When do you take notes and NOT copy from the book?

Ooh, that sucks. I hope it wasn’t worth too many points. I think high schools grade too heavily based on homework and class participation. Do those things really measure any skills? Maybe time management? Quizzes, tests, projects, and papers are more important.

I think class participation definitely measures a skill.

I completely agree. I actually care/try when it comes to tests/projects/papers.

But notes are ridiculous. They don’t help me. Reading the book without being distracted by notes helps me.

I’m going to argue with him tomorrow morning about this.

Anyone notice the tags in this thread? They’re pretty amazing.

I know. I made two of them. The best two. But it won’t let me make any more than two. It’s very sad for me.

falafel & jehoshaphat?

or jehoshaphat and lil jon?

Falafel. Some shady individuals tried to tell me I spelled Jehoshaphat wrong, but those scoundrels don’t know anything.

It seems wrong, I guess because of the “phat”.

Yay I win!

I wish for another wish.

Don’t swap horses in the middle of the river.
