The Cafe Watering Hole

I remember when there was only one American Apparel. And then they multiplied.

Something on Lost made me very happy.

I can’t watch Lost during the week because it sucks up all my time.

The IB is ridiculously elitist but I don’t care because I’m getting a quality education.

Your mom is ridiculously elitist.

Snap.

I’m getting about 3/4 of a quality education. Maybe 3/5.

Engineering, it’s not gonna happen.

I’m getting 2/5 of a quality education. My school is great for making sure students graduate, and it prepares people for the basic college courses. But that’s it. I have practically zero opportunities to study anything advanced. I’m just hoping I don’t have to take any remedial courses in college. For instance, if I go to UChicago, they have two intro econ courses that are required if you haven’t had previous coursework in econ. The catch? They don’t count toward the major. My school only offers one quarter of econ, and the teacher isn’t that great.

You could probably self-study AP Econ. I took it last year, it was pretty easy.

I wonder if I should bother with the AP test or just take UChicago’s placement test. If they have that. I guess I can consult my handy course catalog.

I don’t get a quality education. Or maybe I do. idk.

The Ting Tings are so annoying.

SHUT AND LET ME GO!! ABSbddnD,A.FNDffGGSHB

^ kidnapping?

^ That’s a song by the ting tings…i think.

oh… .

I don’t wanna be the one makin’ all the noise.

I don’t have to go to school tomorrow, so I’m really reluctant to do my homework.

I volunteered today.

I did not.

Karen is preggers.

Help me.

I need to choose a topic and submit a general plan and pick a teacher to supervise it in a week. HELP ME.

The catch: I refuse to do a science EE because that involves doing an experiment and I don’t want to spend 4000 words on what would essentially be a lab report. Literature EEs have to be written in the language in which the book studied was written (an EE on Don Quijote would have to be written in Spanish) and I want to do mine in English, though I’d be fine with doing a French one.

If you possibly have any suggestions outside of literature, economics is out of the question, as is art and music and of course math. History is an option but I’m not sure.

I need help.

Write about Harry Potter. Or Twilight. lololol. What are your favorite books?

Also, I hate the word preggers.

The head of the English department at my school grades EEs and he said that he received a bunch from some school in Florida, and half of them were about Harry Potter, and half of them failed.

You could write about how the debt crisis of the 80’s affected the political geography of Latin America, from a historical perspective. I know it sounds boring, but if you read about it, it’s actually really interesting. I would suggest Japan’s lost decade, but you said no economics.
