The Class of 2010 ED Thread/Roster

The interview matters according to a Princeton profile I viewed recently in a book…its recommended but its more like a requirement if you actually want to get accepted. Call up your local Princeton alumni club and find interviewers!!!

I don’t think its a “requirement” to get in but its obviously not just to “make the alumni feel connected”…you wouldn’t be freaking out about not getting a call if you really believed that, frozen tears. (But I completely understand the feeling…happened to me too)

However, I do think that Princeton is one of those schools where alumni interviews might matter a little more than others simply because:

1.) the number of applicants- unlike UPenn and other schools with a large number of applicants, Princeton receives around 2000 applicants (correct me if I’m wrong on this)
2.) Look at Ptons application compared to other Ivys- they DO really want to know you

But maybe I’m way off…who knows? meh

No, I still don’t believe it’s that important – certainly nowhere near as important as it is for a UK school, for instance. But I freaked out because I was afraid that not being able to be reached might be interpreted as “turned down offer for interview” or “careless.”

I have an interview tomorrow!! What should I wear? What should I bring beside a resume? What questions should I be prepared?

About the interview -

My roommate got an interview call and turned it down - and she’s still here!

Why did she turn down the interview?

whoa, really?

same here, a friend 2 yrs ago didn’t get an interview and got a full ride through pton
last year, 3 people didn’t get interviews and got in, while 4 who did didn’t get in, those are the ones i know too :)

she turned down the interview for no good reason at all.
