The Container Store - I've died and gone to heaven!

If the organizers in my home are not from Ikea then they come from Container store.
I have baskets and 3 shelf cabinets which I have next to the kitchen that I use as a pantry since I don’t have one.
I got these beautiful 3 shelf drawers that I had to put together (so many screws to put them together) to put in my dd closet to put clothes which are off season. When a guest comes they ask where I purchased these items and go looking for them at Container Store. My only issue has been is that they sometimes discontinue items which had they been available I would have purchased more. I am fortunate to have one less than 2 miles away.

During the holiday season I love their beautiful gift boxes and wraps.

I’m not buying anything else to put in this house. I’m a mamber of the “bag a week” club.

The next owner of this house can upgrade the closet organizers from the ones we bought at Home Depot…which aren’t fancy…but work just fine.

@Marilyn The Container Store was always the Container Store from it’s beginning in Dallas (where I shopped at the original store). Perhaps they bought out another company in your area, but it started as Container Store. It’s an excellent company and has managed its growth well. We got one here in Nashville a couple of years ago.

I checked the website and there are Container Stores in White Plains and Yonkers. I went to one once with my husband. While my eyes glazed over, my totally in denial about his severe ADHD husband tried to convince me to buy hundreds of dollars worth of organizing items that I knew would never be used. I actually took his wallet away and have never been back.

I have the Elfa storage system from The Container Srore in my garage and I love it. The garage used to be a huge mess until we installed these. I love all the wrapping/gift box choices at TCS too.

I love The Container Store and there is one close to me here in LA. As much as I love it though, I need to stay away because every time I walk in there I see all these things I didn’t even know that I needed… It’s certainly easy to rack up $$$ with all those things I “need”.

I do find, as @Marilyn said, it is a great place to do some holiday shopping for small gifts or stocking stuffers. Lots of interesting and useful stuff. Just stay away from the beautiful gift wrap section. All those lovely bows, ribbons and paper are pricey.

They recently opened a store in the city 40 minutes south of me. I’ve stopped in twice and I was overwhelmed. I had no clue where to even start. I did end up with a jewelry organizer that fits inside one of my bathroom drawers. I have a few areas that I would like to make more efficient. I have a lot of space in my house but I think much of it is underutilized.
i could do some serious shopping if I had one close by.

I agree with others that their wrapping paper, ribbon, etc., are beautiful. I always stop there before Christmas top pick those things up. They also have a great selection of Christmas-themed tins, which are hard to find. I always make vanilla walnuts to give away, and I package them in Christmas tins lined with paper doilies, with the scalloped edges outside the tin/lid. Call me Martha!

And I always pick up stocking stuffers there. Incredible selection of cute, practical items.

You all know that TCS has a website, right?

I also love the Container Store. Bought my post-grad kids several Elfa drawer carts to put their clothes instead of heavy dressers. 10 years and several moves later, my daughter still has hers in her walk-in closet.
I keep my shoes in their shoe boxes with a photo of the shoes taped outside.

We don’t have a"Container Store" in HI, but we have “Simply Organized,” which is somewhat similar but smaller.

The don’t sell these anymore but I purchased these and put them in the bedroom closets to store off season clothes. They took forever to put together with all the nails but are very pretty.

We had to empty our closet before bathroom remodel a few years back. We got everything out and looked at those pressboard shelves and cheap metal rods and decided to just go browse at Container Store. Just in case we liked their closet stuff. They were having a sale, their computer program is awesome and we left with a plan and an estimate. We hadn’t paid anything but tore out all the old stuff, repaired the walls and repainted (just happened to have a gallon of pale pink satin in the garage from a bathroom project that didn’t happen).
Oops, we had mis-guessed on the measurements and all the specs were wrong. I got on the phone with their design folks who spent about an hour changing and re-configuring. We paid. Picked it up. Everything was cut to measure and ready. it’s amazing. our closet isn’t large but it holds so much more now.
Can you tell I’m a convert?
