The Death of a Giant

Solzhenitsyn died yesterday.

He was one of the first great authors I read in a serious way. It felt important and it was. I was 16 when I read “A Day in the Life…” Last year, 48 years old, I read the first book of “The Red WHEEL; August 1914,” and remembered again what it was like to read the words of a Giant amongst men.

His writing and his life were always an inspiration to me.

His life changed the World.
Nice to remember him.

He believed the next world was a better place.
I hope he finds it to be as he believed it to be.
