The devil made Avatar?

Ok- I didn’t see this movie ( but I did see The Omen <B Gregory Peck)-
but honey, the environmental movement is a * good thing*,
it is across party lines and international boundaries- and it is going forward.
[‘Avatar’ is the most satanic film Mark Driscoll has ever seen](<a href=“Seattle news, weather, sports, events, entertainment | seattlepi.com”>Seattle news, weather, sports, events, entertainment | seattlepi.com)

This movie was beautiful, both visually and in its message.

I do think human beings are a little too far removed from nature. Obviously their heaven and religion don’t exist, because well, its a movie, but I’m not sure anyone on this Earth can say with absolute certainty their heaven and God exists - there’s no solid proof.

If this movie is satanic, then I can’t wait to join the guy. (;

I was prepared to roll my eyes derisively, but this guy Driscoll is not at all the same kind of guy as a Jerry Falwell. I’ve seen some of his other stuff, and it’s quite off-beat. He makes a point about the message of the movie–but note that he doesn’t discourage people from seeing it, or talk about banning it. I think his criticism is overstated, but it’s certainly true that the world-view portrayed in the movie is quite different from that portrayed in evangelical Christianity.

There is no devil.

Remember when crystals were used for jewelry ? …not Swarovski type, but rough, quartz type stones. I had a friend yrs ago that got involved with an over the top church. My sister had given me a pair of earrings with pink quartz stones and she made sure to tell me that my jewely was from Satan…whacky people out there

Especially your gold and platinum jewelry. Fear the Devil lest he encircle your fingers, wrists, necks, and ankles with objects of his Satanic bondage. (Nose rings are …uggghhh…you can keep those or at least seal them really well. Earrings are mostly cool, unless you have major hygiene issues.) You can rid yourself of all this satanic gold and platinum jewelry by sending it to : My Satanic Gold Envelope c/o Curmudgeon, P.O. Box 666, Grinderswitch, Texas

^^^ haha, so I can cleanse my soul by sending all of my valuable bling to curmudgeon
Brilliant…could be the next Miss Cleo scheme…let’s partner up :)

What I find demonic is this: A person in a position of power or influence who denounces everything - people, ideas, cultural icons, debates, perspectives, questions- as ‘demonic’ if such things challenge, question or simply misalign with his particular belief system.

Such people and institutions are dangerous and scary.

I agree starbright…this is why this former friend of mine, is exactly that…a former friend
