<p>What do you guys think the perfect or nearly perfect (but attainable) application would look like?</p>
<p>Hmm… perfect but attainable? Sounds oxymoronic to me… but here goes. It would have to beat the spread of the typical UCLA applicant’s portfolio, but not so much as to be utterly impossible. Here are a few examples based on a few bright people I’ve met at this school:</p>
<p>SAT I: ~700 Verbal, ~700 Math
SAT IIs: ~750 Writing, ~750 Math IIC, ~700 Other
APs: 5, 5, 4, 4
GPA: ~4.20 Weighted, ~3.70 Unweighted
Ranking: Top 10%
ECs: one sport, one musical instrument, a few special interest clubs, 100+ hours of community service, a few awards</p>
