In the mood for a little mystery Down Under? Our April CC Book Club selection is The Dry by Jane Harper, which won Britain’s top crime-writing award, the Gold Dagger, in October. The novel, set in a drought-stricken Australian farming community, was one of Amazon’s Best Books of 2017: “Federal Agent Aaron Falk returns to his hometown in Australia to mourn, and inevitably investigate, his best friend’s apparent suicide. What comes next is a series of twists and turns that will keep you guessing all the way until the end.”

Downloaded ebook version from my library, and started it yesterday . So far it’s great.
On a related note, I also just watched two Netflix movies, true stories set in Australia. These movies were recommended on the " ** have you seen any good movies lately" **thread.
First one ** , " last cab to Darwin" and second one was " track" **- I now am reading " the dry" dialog hearing the Australian accent in my head, and feeling the unrelenting hot Australian sun and heat.
Also, many years ago I read Bill Bryson’s wonderful travelogue " In a sunburned Country" about the vast, amazing continent of Australia A Memorable book -------
