<p>Are colleges seeing an impact on the majors kids are taking due to the rough economy? More nurses, accountants etc less teachers, general business majors etc.
I am not interested in the liberal arts discussion but more in line with the more “vocational” majors.</p>
<p>Computer Science enrollments are up about 100% from four years ago at my son’s school. I suspect that many of these students were planning on going to private schools but decided on a state school to save money. A fair number of CS majors wash out but they usually transfer into other “vocational” majors.</p>
