The effect of counselor rec??

<p>Hi, this is my first thread ever. </p>

<p>I’m a raising Senior who just transferred to the high school in NC this summer,
Basically in order to get an in-state status for UNC.
My father is military, so if I attend NC high school when i apply, I can be instate.
Because I just transferred in, I DON’T EVEN KNOW MY COUNSELOR’S FACE.
I’m so worried that she’s gonna write me a random rec.</p>

<p>I’m def gonna send 2 recs from my teachers, since my counselor one won’t be that great.
If I explain that I just moved to NC in order to get into UNC,
are admission commitees gonna understand it? :(</p>

<p>I have 1980 sat, 3.8 uw 4.5w gpa (NC grading scale)
I’m an artistic person, so I’ve got many art awards (I got a 5 on the AP studio art too).
What can i do? please help me out</p>

<p>I’m not exactly sure but I don’t think saying that you moved to NC just for in-state status will sound very good to admissions counselors…</p>
