i don’t know what is appropriate! if i am female, can i do a male roomate, or do you think i should take into account hte gender of the person?

also, i wanted to do a character from something like Arrested Development (the tv show) or the office or scrubs or something, but Arrested Development is not really very appropriate. it can be rather crude at times… so should i choose something safe? like… some PG movie or something?

also, i was also thinking of doing a fictional Chinese (i’m chinese) character that is sort of like a monkey that is a hero and he talks and does magic… er, yeah. but he is pretty cool but do you thinkt hat would be too abstract/weird and they wouldn’t get what i’m talking about?

you only get 50 words! HELP IS VERY VERY APPRECIATED THANK YOU SO MUCH!

^ lol are u thinking of the guy from journey to the west? I dont think they will care just as long as it reveals something about ur personality imo

I had the same problem when I was brainstorming for the roommate answer! I wanted to choose a male fictional character but then decided it might look a little “odd” that I wanted him as a roommate.

My motives were very innocent! ;)

I ultimately chose a female character from a different novel, but looking back, I really don’t think it would’ve made a difference to NU.

And as far as the abstractness/weirdness of your roommate, I think if you back up your answer in a way that is amusing, intelligent, and sensible, it won’t matter if your chosen roommate is a little on the eccentric side.

Ughh, Monkey King? God I’d hate to have him as a roommate. Lice, discarded fruit, and all of his demon buddies constantly coming for a visit. And who knows, the next time he decides to try and kill off the gods I might be blamed too.
