DH and I linked arms last week and walked the final payment to the mailbox. Three kids, all done! We do have a few thousand still outstanding on D1’s perkins loan that is in non-payment mode due to her being in grad school. We will pay that off as her grad present when it is due, but for now we are done!
Glory, glory hallelujah…

Singing the song wit 'chu all!!!
Paid off the last bill several weeks ago, gonna do the taxes slowly, leisurely, maybe even waiting until April’ish, never gonna do the PROFILE or FAFSA again… 7 years of college costs and now we are FINISHED!!!
DS will have slightly less than $7500 in Stafford subsidized loans, and he will be paying them off since they were part of our original agreement and are very reasonable.
Yeah! And we bought a new car on the last day of 2010, and gave the ten-year-old car to DS. (That was part of the master plan; start the college years with two reliable fully-paid-for vehicles, and wait to replace them until after the college drain is over.) YEAH! Congratulations to all!!! And I just went online today, and started an automatic monthly contribution to a Roth IRA; college costs over, time to start saving for retirement. ;)

Been doing the finaid forms since tax year 2000, thought we were done, though do help others do theirs…DD is in med school and we still need to do it!
