Heavens, I forgot about this thread, but it brings back tons of memories! All good…
One that I forgot to mention (but the movie is mentioned upthread) is the very last 10 minutes or so of “Pulp Fiction.”
I am generally not a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino, but “Pulp Fiction” is just an amazing movie in so many different ways. If this was all Tarantino did in his career, he rightfully would be considered a great director.
As great as the entire movie is, the last scene is simply incredible. Samuel L. Jackson’s tour de force acting is brilliant beyond anything I can really describe. He goes from angry to funny to tough to philosophical to religious and back and forth during these few minutes (as he is in a “transitional period” ).
I cannot praise this scene enough or Jackson’s astounding performance that has got to rate as one of the finest movie scenes of all time.
I would post the video, but it has some naughty words. I can’t risk a ToS violation!
But look it up if you haven’t seen it. If you have seen it, it is as fresh, vibrant, and brilliant now, as it was nearly 30 years ago on initial release.
