The "Free Pass" list

One time ex-H and I were taking a ski lesson at Sundance (Redford’s resort). In the ski lesson we got to “cut” the lift line, and Redford and his daughter came up behind us in the short line. Our instructor had given the daughter lessons in the past, so we all turned around and chatted for a minute. Not that ex-H and I could say much… He was as good looking in person… but he is not very tall. He is a beautiful, elegant skiier, though, we watched him from the lift later on.

My impression of Brosnan has always been that he is a truly kind person in real life. Musicamom, great story, so pleased to hear that impression confirmed!

Funny how we are all pretty tongue tied when we actually meet someone famous. I bet we could start a great thread on that!

Maybe it is because I am probably " on the spectrum"- so I am not really intimidated, although I don’t like things like large social gatherings, or maybe it is just because I am a Seattle native, but it doesn’t faze me to talk to well known people- they aren’t photoshopped in real life ;), and my impression is that the ones who are worth talking to, are very genuine and interested in others.

Ironically, I have met everyone from the band except my " free pass choice ( and Boom- the sometime keyboardist from Hawaii), the best chance I had was when I went to Santa Barbara in 2008 for his solo tour, and while several fans waited after the show to talk to him, but it didn’t even occur to me, & headed to a club for more music.

( or perhaps him making his entrance down a rope practically into my lap shocked me so much that I couldn’t imagine getting closer)
:o

I worked at a studio as a young’un and H is still in the Biz. I do not like to meet famous people that I have a crush on since it tends to destroy the fantasy. Besides, actors are strange people. And since diiscretion is important and I will not indulge in telling some of H’s hair raising stories…

I really did not have any attraction to Mr Brosnan, until that “moment on the beach”. sigh…

For me Colin Firth! Daniel day Lewis in the Last of the Mohicans. Rescue fantasy I suppose!

For H, Jennifer Aniston

for me, Clive Owen

H tells me “he’s never thought about it”.

Now, is that loyalty or total lack of imagination?

GW, or a white lie? “Does this dress make me look fat?” Some questions may be best unanswered…
