For me the three winners were Lupita, Juliana Margolies and Cate Blanchett.

The losers were Zoe Saldana, the presenter in white with the giant thing coming out of her shoulder and Julia Roberts…

I didn’t hate Jennifer Lawrence but not a huge fan either. Amy Adams dress did not seem that flattering on her and hair was awful. Lena Dunham’s dress was not a bad dress but poorly fitted and no matter the dress, tattoo’s on your arm are problematic. Same with Kelly Osborne also… even though she’s actually working while on the red carpet.

What about Kerry Washington? Loved her pregnancy look and the same for Olivia Wilde.

I bet the right designer could make a name for himself/herself by dressing Lena Dunham. As common as tatoos are among folks younger than me, there has to be a “perfect look” out there.

Do you suppose that Lena Dunham actually pays money to people to make he look that awful? In that case, I’ll offer some free advice to start–Lena, you have sloping shoulders, don’t go strapless, ever. For that matter, so many of the women who showed up in strapless dresses (and half the brides who choose them) looked terrible in them–sagging breasts that need to be hiked up periodically, underarm flesh that’s pushed forward into blobs. Yuck.

MommaJ, how come WE know that but the stylists and bridal “experts” don’t!!! There is a perfect age (young) and chest size (medium - not too flat and not too large) and shoulder shape (not sloped, not too bony) that can wear a strapless dress.

I was stunned to hear someone on GMA this morning ranking Julia Roberts as second best dressed behind Cate Blanchette and with the 12 Years a Slave actress wearing the stunning red Ralph Lauren in third. I adore Julia Roberts, but thought the dress was horrible.

Yeah, that Julia Roberts dress didn’t work at all. I love the crisp, white blouse but not under that gown. I saw some pics today where she looked downright frumpy.

Isn’t Jennifer Lawrence under contract with Dior? I suspect that she’s required to exclusively appear in that label, so maybe they dictated her dress choice.

I didn’t watch the SAG awards, but have seen the photo gallery and watched the coverage on GMA as I enjoy my day off. Did you guys see Lupita’s dress? O.M.G. - even more stunning than her Globes dress. Tim Gunn is raving, as are all the rest.
