Good old-fashioned robbery gone bad.

Gunman on a bike. Geez.

I bike. I wear athletic, tight fitting clothes, so its hard to hide anything.
But I have 3 bags. Count’em :)

Is that it? So the ex-con who did two terms in prison because of violent crimes committe suicide because the police was going to quize him about the killing? Hmmm, I need to take a criminal psychology class.

It is such serendipity. I am at that intersection at least 4 times a week. Everyone was really skitish. A friend heard the shots. There but for the grace of God…

May Ronni Chasen rest in peace.

I don’t understand this from a common sense issue. If I am in a car and I look over to see a guy with gun, I would hit the gas pedal right away and run the light. This just is too strange for me to find it believable.

Even if he said give me your purse, I would think she would. Nothing in anyone’s wallet or purse is worth their life.

Why didn’t she hit the gas pedal if she knew it was a robbery?

On this one I am just not willing to bite off on what they are saying.

Count me an another non-believer. I thought this was also strange:

There are so many things that we don’t know: It was dark…did she see the gun? Or was she switching cds and not notice? The intersection is NOT one where she could have made a quick movement. It is Sunset Blvd. and there could have been oncoming traffic or north/south traffic. Ronni Chasin might have been killed and taken out other people with her. The guy might have killed other people as well. She may have gone into slow motion and not realized what was happening. Incidentally, gosh bless good samaritians, there was a black town car that passed the car seconds after the car hit the light pole. (It was seen on a security camera). No one stopped or rendered aid.

Do I think we’ll ever know the whole story? No. But to say that she could have/might have done something to prevent this is at best hindsight and in the worst light blaming the victim, at least in part for what happened to her.
