Who else is upset that they don’t get to see The Hunger Games this Friday because they will be in St. Louis for Finalist Weekend? Maybe we will be able to sneak off to a movie theater and watch it? Probably not ):

I suggest you grow up.

^ lol .

@marcdvl
I made a list of what I ever did to you to elicit such a rude response:
- Nothing
- Nothing
- Nothing
I understand that you enjoy the cloak of anonymity that the wonderful Internet gives you. You relish the fact that it allows you to throw insults at people however you please, and your Mommy will never know that her precious child is making fun of people on the Internet. But please, save your useless, snarky comments for someone who finds them constructive.

Well, let’s see… you are interviewing for a scholarship that has the potential to drastically improve your future and you’re complaining about not being able to see a movie for a day or two? Then you call him out for suggesting you get over it? I think you might seriously want to consider listening to his advice…

^Please. OP was clearly just joking around. Obviously OP isn’t crying over this.

OP was upset enough about it to post it online, yet still feels insulted when people don’t care.

Yes, because taking 20 seconds to post on a website is evident of being super upset.

Doesn’t the movie continue after the weekend?

@ryanMK:
You can’t be serious. Is it really that hard for you to detect when someone is joking? Who in their right mind would choose a $12 dollar movie over a scholarship with a value of more than $160,000? I couldn’t be more pleased that I was selected for Finalist Weekend. Was I planning to see the Hunger Games on opening night? Yes. But am I crying in a corner because
I won’t be able to go? Of course not.
Oh, and you say I’m getting upset when people don’t care? Let me remind you, this thread was created specifically for people who do care. If marcdvl doesn’t care, then marcdvl shouldn’t have responded to this thread.

@yestermorrow
Dont let the one remark get to you. I got what you said. Maybe using the word upset did not convey your thoughts and a couple of current college students did not get it. I know you were lightening the atmosphere of that stressful interview weekend. Good luck to you and your fellow finalist since I was not lucky enough to be selected. I am sure the class of 2016 will be great.

@alwaysleah: Hahaha, at least somebody gets me…

@Johnson181: I actually laughed out loud at your comment. I had no intention of starting a heated argument, I just wanted to know if there were any other HG fans, haha. But thanks for relieving the tension!

@FLtoWashu:
Thanks (:
And hey, congratulations! Even if you aren’t a scholarship finalist, just getting admitted to Wash U is an accomplishment in itself. Enjoy the rest of your senior year.

Yeah i was miffed when I learned the date for scholarship weekend too! i was really looking forward to see it. But we got a great opportunity, and opportunities like this aren’t just handed to me on a silver platter, so yeah. i’m hopefully seeing it next weekend, just hope priks dont spoil it XD

Finalist Weekend = SO. MUCH. FUN.

And for the record, I noticed that the Hunger Games is VERY popular at WashU. Popular to the point of a school-wide reenactment, with the winner receiving free tickets to the midnight premiere. So I don’t know why all the fuss, marcdvl.

My fuss was whining about a movie when he has a chance of getting 200k. Not the content of the movie itself.
