Title says it all. This threads about exams that you thought you got a 5 on but didn’t. I’ll go first.

World History - 4

I worked my butt off in that class with all the HW and Essays. The tests my teacher gave us were much harder than the actual AP exam, as well. I got a 95 in the class and pretty disappointing 4 on the exam… =(

AP European History: 4. My FRQs were barely a page long, but it was only the 2nd AP exam I’d ever taken (sophomore year, by the way) and I thought that was ok.

I get back to class AFTER the AP test and talk to my teacher about my in-class final (which was before the exam). He was like, “Oh yeah, by the way, your FRQs were too short.”

Yeah. Thanks for telling me then. I also didn’t know other stuff like “you’re supposed to skip the last few questions because they’re the hardest” (I never skip questions) and “you’re not supposed to write in the margins for essays” (which a teacher the following year told me, though they might still count that anyway).

On the other hand, “I can’t believe I didn’t get a 2” has happened to me with two other subjects, so I’m grateful overall.

AP Human Geography. There were some MC questions here and there that I wasn’t 100% about but I thought the FRQs were a complete joke… Yet I get a 4 … ugh.

Same thing is going to happen with World History I bet.
